Largs training camp

national centreIn preparation for the up and coming Crushers Cup it was decided to have a training camp in Sports Scotland’s National Centre in Largs. All the players were gloved-up and in their chairs by 10:00am for the start of the first session of the first day which would consist of individual chair and ball skill,s then stopping for lunch at 12:00pm. After lunch, in the second session we focused on team tactics and running plays, time and time again till we got it right. The third session commenced after a hearty dinner, where we spent the evening reviewing our days work with the video analysis. The first session of day two saw us gloved-up and in our chairs for 9:00am, it comprised of Individual chair and ball skills testing which would give Davie and Paul a baseline from which to gauge players improvement and the effectiveness of future coaching session. After lunch, the second and last session again was spent on tactics and running plays before finished off by a full length game.
It was a hard tiring weekend but Paul and Davie seemed pleased with our energy and positivity, if we could carry that momentum with us into the Crusher’s Cup then it would stand us in good stead.
